Turning Adversity Into Opportunity: Vedant Kamble’s Muscular Dystrophy Success Story & MarkonDiGi Journey

“Muscular Dystrophy did not only weaken my muscles — it took away my physical freedom, my carefree childhood, and countless simple joys. But it could never take away my determination to live with purpose and make an impact.”
These words sum up the journey of Vedant Kamble, a young entrepreneur from Kanjurmarg, Mumbai, who transformed a life-defining diagnosis into a mission to empower others.
An Unexpected Diagnosis
Vedant was diagnosed at a young age with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD) — a rare, progressive disorder that gradually weakens the body’s muscles, ultimately restricting mobility and independence.
In his own reflections, Vedant has shared: “There were days I could not turn in bed by myself, open my fingers properly, or comb my own hair. Imagine losing control over your body, inch by inch — that is what Muscular Dystrophy did to me.”
Despite this, he made a conscious choice: If my body would not support me, my mind and willpower certainly would.
Education: The First Victory
Vedant’s academic journey was far from typical. Attending regular classes was not feasible. He relied on his family’s constant support for mobility, writing, and daily tasks. Yet, his dedication to education never wavered.
He successfully completed his SSC board examinations with 72% and went on to achieve an impressive 82% in his HSC board exams — a remarkable feat under his circumstances.
Determined to build a meaningful career, Vedant pursued a Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) with a specialization in Marketing, where he discovered his passion for digital marketing — a field that allowed him to channel his creativity and strategic thinking despite physical limitations.
He excelled academically, securing a 9.23 CGPI in his Bachelor’s degree, and later completed an MBA in Digital Marketing with an 8.47 CGPA — all while managing the daily physical and emotional challenges of his condition.
MarkonDiGi: A Business Built Beyond Boundaries
Unable to travel freely or attend meetings in person, Vedant embraced the digital world and founded MarkonDiGi, his own digital marketing and business consulting agency.
MarkonDiGi focuses on helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) establish and grow a professional digital presence, even on limited budgets. Vedant’s personal journey is proof that with the right mindset and tools, businesses of any size can succeed in the digital space.
He manages the entire operation from home, often working from his bed — leading strategy, overseeing campaigns, guiding clients, and delivering measurable results.
A Voice of Encouragement
Vedant openly shares that Muscular Dystrophy has not only tested his physical strength but also his mental resilience. There were nights of sleeplessness, phases of isolation, and financial pressures. Yet, through it all, he cultivated an unwavering mindset.
“I may have lost my physical strength, but I gained an indomitable spirit. I may have lost my freedom to move about like others, but I gained the purpose to inspire others not to waste theirs.”

If I can prepare for board exams from a wheelchair and achieve above 80% despite my circumstances, you too can overcome academic hurdles and excel in your studies. Value the opportunities you have — and make them count.
